Gray Puksand has worked closely with ICMG on a number of commercial projects in the past few years, including the recent refurbishment of 388 George Street, Sydney NSW. Gray Puksand is a leading architectural and interior design firm who specialises in quality commercial refurbishment projects. Critical to the success of this project was a successful team, which included the client (ING Real Estate / Brookfield Multiplex), Project Manager (Brookfield Multiplex), Bassett Consulting Engineers and the Construction Manager, ICMG. 388 George Street was constructed in the mid 1970’s, and underwent an extensive refurbishment in 1998. The building contains approx 30 commercial office floors, plus Ground floor and basement retail, and is now occupied almost wholly by IAG. The recent renewal works involved the refurbishment of amenities on all 30 floors, and upgrade works to the building in accordance with the recently awarded GBCA 5 Star Green Star – Office Design v2 certified rating, which represents ‘Australian Excellence’. ICMG’s contract included the refurbishment of all amenities over 30 levels, which included demolition works and construction of new finishes to floors, walls, ceilings, plus new vanities and low-energy/water-saving fittings. A key challenge throughout the project was to programme and stage the works to suit the tenant in occupation – in itself a large challenge – which was managed successfully by the ICMG team and their capable CM, Seenar Sappideen. All floors were constructed to a high standard and level of quality, which faithfully followed the approved Green Star design. We have been extremely pleased with the performance of ICMG in this project and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
